We addicted to potato chips are asking for new ways to eat them, and we hash browns they are one of them. They are typical in fast food restaurants in the United States and the United Kingdom, and their recipe is very simple.

Hash browns are kind of fried minced or grated potato dough in the form of a cake. I recommend them as an aperitif or garnish for BURGERS o HOMEMADE SAUSAGES.

Ingredients

  • 6 potatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 6 tablespoons of oil
  • Pepper
  • Sal Island

Preparation

  1. Peel and wash the potatoes well. Peel the onion and finely grate it. Grate the potatoes with a grater with rather wide holes, season the potato with salt and pepper and mix it with the onion.

  2. On a countertop covered with absorbent paper, spread the dough, place more paper and press it with a plate. When we have a dry and compact mass, we form some pancakes.

  3. In a pan with the bottom well covered in oil, fry the pancakes on both sides over medium heat, making sure that the potato is done.
