Homemade spring rolls, play with the filling

The Chinese spring rolls or the frozen ones are delicious. But what do you think if you add your personal touch to the filling? We give you some ideas of meats, vegetables and spices that you can put in the rolls, but in the end the children decide!

Spring rolls are usually something that we always order when we go to a Chinese restaurant to eat, but today we are going to enjoy them without leaving home with this recipe.

Ingredients

For the pasta:

  • 250 gr de harina
  • Water glass 1
  • shawl
  • 1.5 tablespoons of oil.

For the filling:

  • 250 gr. cabbage
  • 1 leek
  • 1 chive
  • 200 gr. bean sprouts
  • 100 gr. mushroom
  • 100 gr. bamboo
  • 250 gr. minced meat (whatever you prefer)
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • shawl
  • oil and pepper

Preparation

  1. To make the dough, mix and knead the flour well, gradually adding the water, salt and oil.

  2. Cover the container with the dough and let it rest for half an hour.

  3. Prepare the vegetables for the filling

  4. Cut the cabbage, leek and spring onion into a fine julienne

  5. Drain the bamboo and cut it into strips

  6. Also drain the bean sprouts

  7. Chop the mushrooms well

  8. Sauté the meat well over high heat for a couple of minutes with oil and salt in a frying pan or wok

  9. After this time, add the vegetables and continue cooking everything for another 5 minutes, except the bean sprouts, which we added at the last minute.

  10. Add the soy sauce, vinegar, salt and pepper.

  11. We cook the dough in the following way

  12. We spread a frying pan with oil and spread the dough on the bottom as if it were some crepes

  13. Let it curdle over low heat

  14. Remove the tortilla and cover both sides with a damp cloth

  15. We do the same with the rest of the dough.

  16. Cut the 8 tortillas into squares and cover them with the filling

  17. Roll up the pasta, closing the edges well with the beaten egg and fry the rolls in plenty of hot oil until they are golden brown.

  18. We drain them on paper and serve with sweet and sour sauce, also homemade.
