400 g. dried figs
200 g. peeled raw almonds
2 cloves
1 / 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon sesame
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (or a teaspoon and a half 4 spice)
1 tablespoon honey
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Preparation

In a Thermomix type kitchen robot, and with the glass very dry, pour the almonds and crush them for a few seconds (speed 3 1/2 in Thermomix). It should be in visible pieces, not powder.
Place the two cloves on kitchen paper and roll over them to flatten them.
Add half of the figs, the crushed cloves, the cinnamon and the nutmeg and blend (speed 5, in Thermomix, adding all these ingredients. Go up to speed 6 and finish blending everything for 15 seconds). Add the rest of the figs and program from 10 to 15 seconds, speed 5. If not with this machine, we must obtain a homogeneous paste, for which it is worth chopping the figs a little before.
Add the reserved almonds, honey, and sesame and mix for 10 sec on speed 3 and 1/2 or until everything is tied in the traditional way, helping us with the spatula so that everything is homogeneous.
Scoop the mixture out of the glass and place balls in a multi-cup muffin pan and press with something like a medium to fit the hole.
Let it rest covered with kitchen paper and at room temperature overnight, so that it dries. Sprinkle with icing sugar if you like.
