With this cold it is a luxury to have a good plate of warm lentils. Today I propose a child-proof version: some lentils with hidden vegetables, crushed, for those little ones who spend more than 10 minutes removing bits of vegetables from their plates.
The advantage of shredding the vegetables is that it will provide thickness to the broth and we will not have to incorporate anything else to get the perfect texture. We will obtain a legume dish that barely has fat, just a drizzle of olive oil that we will add once we have everything ready.
In case you have doubts about how to cook the legume (with cold or hot water, putting it or not before soaking it ...) I leave you this link: How to Cook Dried Legumes Correctly.
