500 ml. milk
250 ml. liquid cream for cooking (18% fat)
30 gr. cornstarch
100 gr. sugar
1 envelope (8 gr.) Vanilla sugar or 1 pod
lemon or cinnamon for flavoring (optional)

Preparation

We put a saucepan over low heat with the milk (we reserve a little to dissolve the cornstarch) together with the cream, sugar and vanilla.
Add the cornstarch dissolved in the milk and the chosen aromas and stir continuously until the preparation boils. Let it cook for a few minutes without leaving lumps until we have a thick and homogeneous custard.
Remove the cinnamon or lemon peel and serve the custard in molds and decorate to taste.

More similar to the classics: Adding a little yellow food coloring will make these custards look similar to egg custard.
