Ingredients

5 pears
500 ml. sweet wine
1 cinnamon stick
the zest of 1 lemon
1 pinch of ginger zest

Preparation

In a saucepan, pour the wine together with the lemon peel, ginger and cinnamon. We put on medium heat and wait for it to boil.
Then, we place the peeled pears whole or cut in half in the wine. If we put them whole, we will cook them for 20 minutes over low heat or until they are tender, but not too soft. If so, we remove them from the heat and let them cool in the wine itself.
Remove the cold pears and reduce the wine to make it thick, if we see it as necessary.
Let the syrup cool.
We serve the pears cold with the wine syrup and a little whipped cream, for example.
