Surely more than once you have taken an eye on it and have even bought the famous Palmeritas De Hojaldre, but surely you have not stopped to think about how easy they are to do.

We will only need a sheet of puff pastry and sugar.

Ingredients

  • a sheet of puff pastry
  • sugar

Preparation

  1. We will heat our oven to about 200 degrees, and while we extend the puff pastry sheet on the paper in which it comes wrapped and sprinkle with enough sugar all over the surface

  2. Fold each of the ends to the center of the iron and add sugar again

  3. Then we pass the rolling pin so that the sugar is completely fixed in the dough

  4. We repeat the folding of the dough, and we add sugar again and pass the rolling pin again

  5. We fold one last time

  6. In the end you will see how the iron is cylindrical in shape and we put sugar on the surface again.

  7. Finally, all that remains is to sprinkle sugar on the surface again, and cut our dough into slices with more or less one centimeter thickness.

  8. We are putting each palm tree in the oven leaving a little space between them because you will see how they get big

  9. Put them in the oven for about 10 minutes.

  10. When they are golden brown, brush them with a little egg yolk so that they are shiny and leave them for another two minutes.

  11. Then we turn them over and repeat the process.
