Roasted pears stuffed with gorgonzola cheese

Ingredients

  • One packet of fresh puff pastry sheet
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • Sal Island
  • Pepper
  • 6 pears
  • A few tablespoons of olive oil
  • Some walnuts
  • 300 gr of gorgonzola cheese
  • The yolk of an egg to paint the puff pastry

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Wash the pears, cut them in half and empty them with the help of a small spoon.

  2. We prepare a baking tray with baking paper and on it we are placing puff pastry rectangles. On each of the puff pastry, we place the halves of the pears.

  3. In a frying pan we heat the olive oil and when the oil is hot, add the onion and let it brown. Add the pear pieces that we have removed from each of the pears and cook them with the onion. Season with salt and pepper and let them brown for about 5 minutes, and remove from the heat.

  4. In a bowl, put the onion mixture with the cooked pears and add the gorgonzola cheese. Mix everything well until the ingredients are well combined.

  5. We paint the puff pastry with the egg yolk and we fill each of the halves of the pears with the gorgonzola mixture that we have prepared and top it with some split walnuts.

  6. Bake at 180 degrees until we see that the puff pastry is golden, about 15 minutes.
