Scones, English snack

The scones They are typical cupcakes from England that are usually served with tea. They are a kind of spongy, moist and tender muffins. They can be salty or sweet, and sometimes contain spices, chocolate, or fruits.

We can give them to children either as an aperitif, breakfast or snack, since we can accompany them with jams, butter, cream, chocolate, smoothies, cheeses and patés.

I made them yesterday, but I had to add one more cup of flour. The final result in terms of the dough is good, they have proofed correctly and the next day they keep quite well, a little less light; but for not carrying more than the fat of the cream very well. I have thought about improving the flavor a little with malt extraxt, next time I will try it because as the recipe is, it is necessary to spread them with butter or jam so that they taste something.

Hello Paulina: you are right and sometimes depending on how light the dough is, you have to add more flour. As you say, they are not rather bland, and in fact they are always eaten smeared with something, but scones are like that I'm afraid. Thanks for reading!
