10 Mexican tortillas
1 cebolla
2 cloves of garlic
1 chili or fresh red chilli
1 kg. ripe tomato pulp
2 liters of chicken broth
100 ml. liquid kitchen cream or sour cream
1 or 2 avocados
1 lime

Preparation

Cut the tortillas into strips and fry them in abundant oil for a short time, just long enough to make them crispy and golden. We reserve them on kitchen paper.
Sauté the tomato (peeled and seedless), the minced garlic, the onion and the chili in a saucepan. We can make the sauce with the very chopped ingredients and leave it as it is or pass them through the Chinese once they are sautéed.
We put the chicken broth in the pot along with the sauce, add salt and pepper, and let it cook for about 20 minutes.
We serve the soup piping hot decorated with a splash of cream, a little grated or sliced avocado, a few slices of lime and finally the fried tortillas, so that they are crispy when the dish arrives at the table.
