Today I show you how to prepare a tartar sauce step by step to accompany our summer dishes.
The first time I tried tartar sauce was many years ago in a cooking class and since then it has become one of my favorite sauces.
Some will think that there is hardly any difference between a tartar sauce and a mayonnaise. I simply recommend that you try it and you will understand the difference. Since it is not the same to take cooked white asparagus with one than with the other. Everything changes, from the presentation to taste.
I personally love with steamed white fish and, of course, with some grilled prawns or prawns, although you can use it with your favorite dishes.
Don't forget to put tartar sauce on your burgers to give it a more chic touch ... you will love it!

Ingredients
- 200 g mayonnaise
- 1 boiled egg
- 25 g capers
- 25 g pickles
- 50 g onion
Preparation
We start the recipe by preparing the mayonnaise and cooking an egg.
We will put 200 g of mayonnaise in a large bowl, where we will add the rest of the chopped ingredients.
While the egg is cooking we can prepare the rest of the ingredients.
We peel the onion and chop only 50 grams. We will do it in a way that it fits us well. We add to the mayonnaise bowl.
Chop the gherkins well drained and also add them to the mayonnaise bowl.
Then, we also chop the capers and proceed in the same way.
Once the boiled egg is cold, we peel it and cut it in half to separate the white from the yolk. We chop both separately and add them to the mayonnaise bowl and to the rest of the ingredients.
Mix all the ingredients with a spoon until they are well integrated.
Cover or cover with plastic wrap and reserve it in the fridge for at least a couple of hours.
We serve in individual bowls or in a sauce boat.
