Similar to american coleslaw, this red cabbage is a light but tasty first course or garnish, thanks to a bittersweet dressing based on honey and mustard.

To get over the heat a bit, this sweet and sour red cabbage salad is perfect and very easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 red cabbage
  • Carrots 6
  • 1 cebolla
  • 100 gr. peeled walnuts
  • pepper
  • shawl
  • oil
  • vinegar
  • mustard
  • miel
  • oregano

Preparation

  1. Cut the red cabbage and onion into very thin julienne strips and season with salt and pepper and add vinegar and mustard and let it rest for half an hour.

  2. Meanwhile we cut the carrots into slices.

  3. Now we mix the red cabbage with the carrots and the walnuts and rectify the dressing to our liking with the oregano and the rest of the ingredients.
