Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread for torrijas
  • 300 ml of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • The skin of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 6-8 tablespoons of chocolate cream
  • 1 egg L or XL
  • 2 bananas
  • Olive oil
  • Sprinkle sugar

Preparation

  1. We cut the slices of bread a little thinner than if we were making normal French toast. Mix the chocolate cream with the vanilla sugar and spread two of the slices. Cut the banana into thin slices and stick them to the chocolate cream. We join the two covers forming a sandwich, and so with all the slices.

  2. We heat the milk with the sugar and lemon. Let it infuse for a couple of minutes and strain the milk.

  3. In a deep plate we put the milk and we soak the breads assembled on both sides until they are well soaked. We beat the egg in another plate.

  4. We drain the milk and bathe the egg on both sides of the torrija.

  5. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the torrijas carefully, turning them over until golden brown.

  6. Then we let them rest on absorbent paper and sprinkle with sugar to taste.
