Sponge cake lollipops or biscuits

Some time ago we made some cookie treats that look like lollipops. This time we will use the cake to prepare some fun chocolate lollipops. This recipe is very entertaining to make for children, which they will feel very proud of their work when they see their friends enjoying themselves at a snack or at a birthday party.

Ingredients

  • 1 cake base not too dry (sobaos or muffins are also worth it)
  • butter and vanilla frosting
  • melting chocolate (white or black)
  • colored chocolate noodles
  • wooden or plastic sticks (you can cut the skewer if not)

Preparation

  1. Once we have the cake ready, we crumble it with our hands to leave it in crumbs.

  2. We add the frosting and integrate it until we have a compact paste.

  3. We form small balls the size of a lollipop with this paste and insert a stick into them. We can leave the lollipops on a tray with baking paper. Once we have finished forming the lollipops, we refrigerate them for an hour or so to harden.

  4. Melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a bain-marie and dip the lollipops in it until they are well covered. Immediately we coat them in colored noodles.

  5. For the lollipops to dry and not affect the coverage, we can stick them with a toothpick into a floral foam, a cork or a cardboard egg cup, for example.
