With the little ones we can prepare a special snack: some mini angel hair dumplings.
We will need a sheet of puff pastry and half a can of this traditional sweet made with pumpkin. Also a little milk or beaten egg to paint the dough, neither more nor less.
If we want to entertain ourselves a little more and make them even more beautiful, we can put some dough braids. Thus, with the braids, they will be special.
And what do we do with the angel hair that we have left over? well a stuffed sweet bread delicious.

Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, square or round, it doesn't matter
- About 16 teaspoons of angel hair
- A little milk to paint the surface of the mini-empanadillas, or a beaten egg
Preparation
Take the puff pastry out of the fridge a few minutes before starting the recipe.
Past we unroll it (if it came in a curl) and cut the circles. We can use a cookie cutter, a glass or, in my case, a yogurt lid. Depending on the size of the circle that we use, we will get more or less empanadas.
We put a teaspoon of angel hair in the center of each circle.
We close each portion.
If we want to make them prettier we can decorate them with puff pastry braids. We will only have to cut strips, form the braids and place them in the dumplings.
We put our mini-empanadillas on a baking tray that we will have previously covered with baking paper.
Paint with beaten egg or a little milk. Bake at 180º (preheated oven) for 10 or 15 minutes, until you see that the surface begins to brown.
Notes
We do not throw away the bits of dough that we have left over after making the circles. With them we will form the braids. And, those that are left over, we will also put them on the baking tray and cook them together with the empanadas, if we want, with beaten egg or milk and a little sugar on the surface.
