We cannot end the year without bringing some lentils to the table, on this occasion, some lentil volauvans.
In Italy it is a tradition to take them on the 31st. At home we are not going to serve them as a spoon dish but as appetizer, along with the rest of skewers What do we prepare for this day?
In our case, each volauvan is crowned by a piece of chorizo. This is our personal touch.

Ingredients
- 200 g of lentils (they can be canned or from a stew that we have left over)
- A few pieces of chorizo (they can be from the stew, if you have it)
- 8 volcanoes
Preparation
These are our lentils.
Crush the lentils either with a blender or with a potato mill.
We put a tablespoon of lentil puree in each volauvan.
On top of the lentils we place a piece of chorizo, fried or cooked.
We put it in the oven, at about 180º, for approximately 7 minutes (the time necessary to serve the hot volauvans).
