You will see how good these cookies are. They do not have sugar since honey will give them the sweetness they need. Ah! and we are going to use whole wheat flour to prepare them, thus avoiding the use of refined flours.
Do you want to know how we will shape them? Well, look at the photos of the step by step because it is very simple. We will not use a roller or molds, only the thumb. Give the kids a call on this step because they'll love helping you out in the kitchen.
- 200 g whole wheat flour (and a little more for the hob)
- 5 g baking yeast
- 50 butter g
- 75 g honey
- 1 egg
- We put the flour and yeast in a bowl. We mix.
- We add the rest of the ingredients.
- We mix everything with our hands.
- When everything is well integrated, we form a ball, adding a little more flour if we consider it necessary.
- We are taking portions of about 70 g. We stretch them into sticks.
- We chop these sticks with the knife, into portions of about 2 or 3 centimeters.
- We put the cylinders in a vertical position and lightly crush them with our thumb.
- We put our cookies on the baking tray that we will have previously greased and floured. We can also use greaseproof paper on the base or a silicone baking mat.
- Bake at 180º (preheated oven) for approximately 12 minutes.
