In today's post I'm going to show you how my mother cooks potatoes in the microwave. He chops them into thin slices (as if they were for an omelette) and then adds a little onion and a drizzle of oil. So, as is, you put it in the microwave and have them cooking for 13 minutes.
If you are roasting something in the oven at the same time or if you are interested in having a golden color on the surface, put them in in the oven a few minutes and immediately you have them ready, golden and so delicious.
They can be the Garrison perfect for these meatballs or for any meat.
Microwave Potatoes
A quick and easy way to cook potatoes. They are perfect as a garnish.

Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes
- 1/4 onion
- Sal Island
- 4 tablespoons of oil
Preparation
Cut the potatoes into slices. We put them in a microwave-safe container. We put the onion on them. We add salt and a little oil.
We cook them in the microwave for 13 minutes. After that time we check that they are cooked and, if they are not, we program in the microwave for a few more minutes.
If we want them to be golden (like the ones in the photo), we finish making them in the oven, with a few minutes of gratin.

It is important that the container we use is microwave safe.
