Apple and ricotta puff pastry

Young and old will enjoy these apple puff pastry. To prepare them we will need few ingredients. And best of all, they are ready in no time.

If you do not want to complicate dishearten you can cut the apples into thin wedges. In some of the photos of the preparation you can see the result.

Do not forget to put a little cane sugar and cinnamonon the surface. It will give it a special touch.

Apple and ricotta puff pastry

Ingredients
  • 1 or 2 apples
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry of about 230 grams
  • 200 g of ricotta
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons of cane sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Milk for brushing
Preparation
  1. We take the puff pastry out of the refrigerator.
  2. After 10 minutes we unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut it into squares.
  3. We put the ricotta and honey in a bowl.
  4. We mix it until it is a cream.
  5. We put in the center of each square a tablespoon of our cream.
  6. We peel the apple and remove the core.
  7. We cut it into slices.
  8. We put an apple slice in each square, on top of the cream.
  9. We put a little sugar on the surface and also cinnamon.
  10. We put our squares on a baking tray, on greaseproof paper.
  11. Brush the puff pastry with a little milk.
  12. Bake at 200º (preheated oven) for 15 minutes. If after that time we see that the puff pastry is not golden, we leave it in the oven for a few more minutes at the same temperature or at 180º.
