Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry with butter already prepared
- 200 g of brie cheese
- 1 purple onion
- Sal Island
- A splash of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of chopped walnuts
- 1 egg to brush the surface
Preparation
- We cut the onion in small pieces. We heat a pan with a drizzle of olive oil and fry for a couple of minutes with a pinch of salt. We set aside.
- In a small frying pan we add the two tablespoons of brown sugar. When it begins to melt and caramelize a little, add the two tablespoons of walnuts. We turn so that the caramel is impregnated in the nuts. We take them out on a baking sheet to cool and solidify. Then we will cut the walnuts into pieces and set aside.
- Cut the puff pastry into two equal parts. We will cut some strips of the dough to decorate the puff pastry when we close it.
- We cast in one of the parties brie cheese broken into pieces or slices and spread it over the dough. We add the onion and the pieces of caramelized walnut.
- With the other part of the dough we close everything forming a patty. With a little water we seal the edges and we can squeeze them with our fingers giving it a small decorative shape. We place the strips of the dough on top by rolling its with twisted shapes, we will glue them with a little water. We beat the egg and brush the entire surface so that it browns when we bake it. We put it in the oven to 180 ° for 15 minutes.
