Carnival, carnival... We already have the costumes ready and also one of the recipes that we are going to enjoy: these tortas fritas, flavored with mandarin.
The first thing we will do is prepare the flavored sugar. We will put part of this mixture in the dough and the rest we will use to coat them once they are fried.
It is a picnic consistent, ideal to endure a day of party. You can serve them with this hot chocolate, or with any soft drink.
Fried carnival cakes

Ingredients
- 120 g of sugar
- The peel of 1 tangerine (orange part only)
- 15 g fresh baker's yeast
- 250g milk
- 60 butter g
- 500 g flour
- 10 g of salt
- Plentiful oil for frying
Preparation
We put the sugar and the tangerine pie in a chopper or in a food processor.
We grate it and put it on a plate or bowl.
We put 60 g of that flavored sugar, the milk, the yeast and the butter in a large bowl.
We mix.
We add the flour and the salt.
We knead.
We form a ball and we have the dough ready. We let it rest for about 30 minutes.
We divide that dough into 12 portions and let them rest for approximately an hour.
We form a disk with each of these portions and fry them in plenty of oil.
Once fried on both sides, when they are golden brown, we remove them from the oil and leave them on a plate with absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
We pass them through the rest of the flavored sugar, coating them.
