Un simple star shaped pasta cutter It will help us to turn a simple cake into a very nice dessert for these holidays. In a few steps we will prepare what the dough will be. The filling is even easier because we will do it with chopped fruit, a little sugar, a splash of lemon juice and, if you feel like it, cinnamon.

With a ball of vanilla ice cream we will have a dessert great for any occasion.

Ingredients

For the mass:

300 g flour
150g cold butter
80 g of sugar
2 eggs
The grated skin of 1 lemon
A pinch of salt
A few tablespoons of icing sugar to decorate

For the filling:

6 or 7 pears (you can substitute apples, or mix pear and apple)
2 tablespoons sugar
The juice of 1/2 lemon to prevent it from oxidizing
Cinnamon (optional)

Plus:

Powdered sugar

Preparation

We put the flour, sugar and a pinch of salt in a large container.
We add the grated skin of the lemon.
We mix. We incorporate the butter.
Mix a little with your hands and add the eggs.
We integrate everything well with a kitchen robot or first with a wooden spoon and then with our hands until we obtain a dough like the one seen in the photo.
We reserve it in the refrigerator wrapped in film.
We now prepare what the filling will be. Peel and chop the pears. As we put these pieces in a container, we sprinkle them with lemon juice.
Add the sugar and cinnamon. We booked.
We divide that dough into two portions (one, which will be the base, a little larger than the other).
We spread that larger portion using a rolling pin. To make everything easier we can put the dough between two baking papers.
We place that dough already stretched in a removable mold about 26 centimeters in diameter.
We now put on this extended dough, the fruit that we have prepared.
We spread the other portion of dough, also with the rolling pin and between two sheets of greaseproof paper.
We remove one of the paper folds and with a star-shaped pasta cutter we make a star in what will be the center.
We place that sheet of dough on the fruit.
If we want we can place the star cut out on the surface, on the dough.
We seal the sides of the cake well.
If after sealing the edges we have excess dough, we can use it to form more stars and use them to decorate the surface.
Bake at 180º for 50 minutes or until we see that the surface is golden.
We take out and let cool a few minutes. Sprinkle the surface with icing sugar.
