Pickled tuna cake

Es one of my mother's star recipes. When he takes it to any family gathering or with friends he always succeeds and there is always someone who asks him for the recipe.

Preparing it takes time because you have to poach the onion well and, above all, because it should be done the previous day so that the bread is juicier.

Do not miss the photos with step by step, so you will have very clear how it is prepared. You will see that in the photos of the preparation the mold used is round while in the cover photo the cake is rectangular. You can give it the shape you like the most, the result will always be good.

Sorry, but the cake is pickled tuna and yet the ingredients include tuna in oil?

      Hello Consuelo,
So it is and it is correct. If you look closely, a splash of vinegar also appears in the ingredients.
The reason is that with pickled tuna it is too strong (for my taste) so we make it with tuna in oil or natural and we add the vinegar we consider.
You can make it with pickled tuna if you prefer, it also works well. Of course, then do not put the vinegar;)
I hope you like it. You will tell me!
      A hug!
